PROTEIN IN URINE hi all does anyone know anything about small amount of protein in urine? the doc has said i will need to take tablets for life. have not picked up my prescription yet so not sure of the name of the drug. MAISIEGRANNY
 
There are quite a few reasons you may have protein in the urine, you need to discuss this with your doctor to see which proteins are present and what this means.
 
thanks sue. i was given a telephone appointment to discuss blood test results and was a bit taken by surprise so i just agreed to a prescription and did not ask my usual endless questions. will need to make an appointment.

It could be that your kidneys are working below the ideal level and protein is leaking. Thawt's a fairly usual cause. there are others of course.
The answe is you MUST ASK.Please let us know how you get on
