Don't want to lose but gain muscle
Just my thoughts: Protein is essential for maintaining muscle mass, you want to add more then you will need to eat enough carbs to support muscle growth along with enough protein. The fewer carbs you eat, the more weight you lose, the more you eat the more you gain and you cannot gain muscle mass without gaining some fat. Just got to keep it all in proportion. And watch what BG levels are doing as you increase or decrease food types.
Protein shakes, whey protein, get a clean one if that's what you want. Not a mass builder, it's full of sugar and all sorts of ****. .Or make your own, you don't have to have a protein powder. They just make consuming an easily digestible protein very easy and they are absorbed fairly quickly.
