Finally got home today after 2 weeks away with work. Pretty proud to see the sign saying:

"Welcome to Aberdeen, home of insulin"

What had made you feel good today?

I have never visited Aberdeen, but I love Scotland:D

I felt good today because of the kindness of others. An acquaintance has said she can have my daughter stay over night when I have my Op and food shopping acquaintances have said they will take me home after my Op, 30miles there and then 30 miles back, wonderful people

RRB :)

That's great! Really shows you which of your friends have a naturally caring attitude when you find yourself in a time of need!

RRB .

Wish I lived nearer to you RRB .
I would have taken you to hospital and also brought you safely back home .

I feel and sense you are one of those people that has an  watching over you .
You will get the vital help , support , assistance you need :)

I love Oban! It's a beautiful part of the country. Sadly not much of that up my way.

Brett we don't get bank holidays up here so no such luxury for me :( I do have a glass of wine in hand though!

Unfortunately I have arrived into a very somber and stressed city this evening as we await news of 3 missing people after another helicopter ditching. It's times like this that I'm actually thankful diabetes has stopped me being able to get offshore

What! No bank holidays, you must be joking.

Sorry to hear about the bad news hope everyone is found safe and ok.

Well "technically" I get them, but I don't have to take them on actual bank holidays lol so I go into the office on Monday as usual, but then I get an extra holiday day to take whenever I want. So it's rare for people to take it on the actual bank holiday! It's like that across Scotland.

Unfortunately it is unlikely they will be found. If they were going to be ok they would have been found immediately after the ditching. It is the nature of the North Sea. Super Puma's should never have been put back into service. Sadly this is the risk we take every day in the oil and gas industry!

not worth the risk me thinks.

at least u get an extra holiday day. I haven't worked a bank holiday in about 13 years :)
