So I'm a very young Type 2 diabetic-22 and only diagnosed around 3 years ago. However, I admit I went into denial and took terrible care of myself when I first found out. I only recently started getting back on track when I got some pain in my right leg. I looked up the symptoms and realized I had all the symptoms of proximal neuropathy. At first, it was just mild discomfort, but now it's getting worse and I'm terrified to say the least. I've read that people with it usually can't walk and end up in a wheelchair. I'm so young and feel like I've ruined my entire life and it's all my fault. I'm not looking for sympathy, just answers. The pain is getting worse, and is still in only my right leg but I'm so scared of it spreading to my other leg. I've read in some places that it's reversible and you'll be able to walk again, and in other places that the damage is permanent. I don't know what to think. Does anybody have experience with proximal neuropathy? What were your stages? How much pain were you in? Did you end up in a wheelchair? How was your recovery? I'd appreciate the help, thanks so much
