good afternoon to all ,I'm still having bowel problems ,not all the time but sometimes it's hard work,I've just ordered psyllium husks and chia seeds and would welcome to know how to get the best use out of them? do I take them together or separately, will it be ok to sprinkle them on my breakfast yoghurt and berries ?

I think you need to take Psylium with a lot of liquid (water), so I'm not sure about whether sprinkling them is a good idea.

I sprinkle Chia Seeds on stuff with no problem.

I recommend 1 teasp of psyllium husks in a glass of water, followed by another glass of water.
Wait 24 hrs
Repeat if necessary.

Time and tweaking the size of your teaspoon will teach you to fine tune your personal requirements. :)

I make flax seed meal & psyllium husk muffins though they might be a bit too high in fibre if you're not used to a lot of it. When my husband started eating them to lower his cholesterol I started him off on 1/2 a muffin a day & he worked his way up to a whole one. As has already been said, water is very important!

I soak my chia seeds for about half an hour then add them to my oatmeal before cooking. Can be a bit binding if you don't soak them first ;)
