Type 1 Pump and advice!

Have you got a decent meter like the aviva expert one that allows you to enter acting time, carb ratios etc as this makes it easier than just the normal basic meter that a lot of us get given.

Ask for the accuchek aviva expert meter. Its basically got the same sort of settings as a pump would have besides you have to inject and it doesnt actually pump the insulin around you.

Its excellent and it will help you if you need to vary your carb ratios and correction doses etc may be different during the day.

Its chinkier than most meters in its case but it is better than the mobile.

Your hospital may be able to give you it... unlikely that your doctor would though.
