pump appointment with consultant

:) I am planning to do this for sure.

punp appointment arrived in the post yesterday --- september 29th at 9:30am :)

DSN said she will be sending pump direct to my house in time to bring with me to appointment.

You'll be home by lunchtime :)

Agree with @CarbsRok, familiarise yourself with the pump before attending the pump clinic appointment, good luck.

Have you been given Omnipod trial with water not insulin, before you get it? I found it very useful, got my pump yesterday.

no going live from day 1 i think

That's what I did Paul, appointment at 10.00am and was back home at lunch pumping insulin.

They'll likely start you on one basal rate taking into account your previous basal dose from the day before.

hello
well pump is attached and seems cool.

BG's a bit high since being on the pump - but DSN explained we will be starting safe for the first day while any leftover lantus flushes through.
9.3 pre lunch
11.2 2 hours post lunch and 9.2 about 15 minutes ago.

more updates to follow :)

Yay..................................:)

latest update -- you can do a correction provided you are no IOB -- ( remember this is my first day -- been told not to play with any presets already in meter )
was 9.0 at 4:37pm and PDM told me to bolus a 1.2 unit correction -- very pleased with that --hate being high
