Hi everyone
I've been on the pump now for just over 3 months and it's brilliant, really recommend it! My bloods have reduced from 78 to 62 but because of this remarkable but quick change, my body seems to be rebelling after running for 30yrs at the higher level.
My nerves in my fingers and toes aren't happy and are so tingly, no pain, but sadly also not a lot of feeling (like washing your face in sand)
Now my legs are rebelling, I seem to kick out when I walk instead of my knees bending and walking normally. Motor neuropathy symptoms seem to fit.
The drs say this should be temporary and everything should settle down in a few months. Has anyone else experienced this? I hope it is temporary!

Hi Andrea!

Funnily enough, I had something similar when I started with my pump (been on it 13 months now). It was quite as bad as kicking out when I walked. I got the tingly toes, I also got like weird spasms in my abdominal region & some other oddities - I also got twitchy hands! But after a very short time it stopped & now everything is great!

Hopefully the same will happen for you!

Hello Andrea,
I'm very sorry that no one has seen your question until now. From reading other peoples experiences going on a pump and drastically reducing numbers does cause a chain reaction but does resolve as Zoze_j states. Welcome to the forum as well.

Not sure ladies if you have seen the pump forum hidden 3/4 of the way down the main menu.

Yes! Is there a way to re-order your favourite forums to the top?

Only suggestion I have is to ask @Administrator to move the pump forum to under the type 1 forum. Otherwise no idea.

Someone did mention re-ordering the forums on a thread, but I can't remember which one. Nothing to stop you starting your own thread or PMing admin, but your tag may draw his attention anyway

Perhaps someone will give him a poke to help the move along

When I first started on the pump my vision went really bad, I was going to get some new glasses (I still need new ones) but the DSN said to wait a few weeks as sometimes getting youir BS under better control can have some effects on people.

Sure enough my vision has improved alot and now not in dire need for new specs, a little different for your effects I know

Is everyone in agreement that the pump forum should be placed under the T1 forum? if so we'll get onto that on Monday!

Can you move this thread to the pump forum so people can see it please?
