I'm planning to move to the UK in the fall, so I have many questions. One of them is how long do you have to use your pump? In the Netherlands it's up to four or five years. I've got the Animas Vibe now for over a year, but can't wait to get a different pump. We are just no match. :-(

I don’t know the official answer.
However, I have the Vibe and understand it has a 4 year warranty.
If I was to hand it back before the warranty was up, I would feel I had wasted tax payers money because it couldn’t be given to someone else second hand.
I guess there are circumstances under which the pump has to be returned regardless of cost.

What are you pump incompatibilities? Perhaps there are people on this forum who may be able to suggest options to overcome them.

It's those little things, what just annoy me. Nothing big. I've had several (4 I believe) Medtronic pumps, so I'm totally used to that system. But they came up with a new pump and I liked the looks of the Animas so I choose this one. I had no idea it would me so different.

Not sure I can suggest anything as my Vibe is my first ever pump and I have no experience of Medtronic.
If you were to change, the Vibe would definition be out of the picture because Animas are discontinuing them ... but still providing support.
However, I the UK, ant diabetes teams give you no choice of which pump. I have a Vibe because it was the only option available.
