I'm going to start pump classes soon and i am considering whether to move to a pump or stay on injections

Weigh up the pro's and con's, if your happy on MDI and don't have any issues then stay on injections, if your experiencing issues on injections which a pump may resolve then the obvious choice is to move over to one.

The pump classed will give you more insight into the workings of a pump and whether you would adapt to using one.

I took me over three years to decide and it was the best decision I ever made, not sure why I wasted three years deciding.

I'love make the decision between a pump and injections in the coming months and I wanted everyone's advice on it, thank you

I was offered a pump around 4 yrs before I decided to give it a go, I'd now say this was 4 wasted yrs.

I was far too worried about having a pump joined to me 24/7.

My final choice to move to a pump was one of the best decisions I ever made, if I could turn the clock back I would have started 4 yrs earlier.

[opps repeated post, for some reason my earlier one was not shown..........before]

Pumping has changed my life, @mc9 .

I wouldn't ever go back to MDI.

But as with everything, there are pros and cons - read everything you can - 'Pumping Insulin', 'Think Like a Pancreas', everything here on the pump forum.

I LOVE MY PUMP. For me, having the control I'm achieving massively outweighs the mildly faffy bits.

:)
