Hello,
My sugars have been running high so I made a new canula sight put a new insulin in attaches the new tube. Then for some unknown reason I attached the empty tube to the canula then pressed the fill canula. So I have managed to pump 70cm ofair in to me?!?! Is this dangerous?

Largely, you just pushed air under your skin. If you pushed it into your bloodstream, that would be a big problem! But that’s not where infusion sets get planted- they just go under the skin and before the muscle layer. Air there isn’t terminal. It’ll dissipate, like if you had a minor surgery where they opened your skin and then closed it up.

Yup, an air pad!! Just make sure you tell someone if you have to have an xray or scan.
Otherwise they might think that the air is due to a gas-forming bacteria which so I hear is much, much less good news!!
