Does anyone know whether it's ok to eat Puy lentils on LCHF diet? Carb is 20g per 100g but only 1.4g sugars.

Depends on hoe low carb you are, and what else you eat in the day.
I would guess if you where on 25g of carbs a day, you could manage 100g of the lentils providing you had nothing else. If you did 50g, or 100g, or 150g to low carb, you could manage more.

Thanks for the reply. Typical day: bacon and poached egg, tuna, bean and sweet corn salad, salmon, loads of green veg. Would be looking at replacing salmon and greens with lentils and chicken.

I don't low carb.
I eat to my meter, and count calories.
So, as long as it doesn't spike me, and as long as I don't eat more calories than I expend, I tend to eat in a balance of thirds, equal thirds of protein, carbs, and fat.
Some, not all, lentils can spike me, others on here are fine, so test, if you're good, you can eat them, but again, you need to decide whether it's numbers, or bs you watch for carbs. And then if you want to go keto or not.
I like healthy, fresh, loads of veg, unprocessed if I can, and eat around that basis.
Your say your diet is based on your lchf, but I would also say it's exactly the same as my balanced diet. (possibly bacon in moderation for me as it's processed, and I don't eat many eggs)
But it has to be whatever suits you, but that seems to tick all the boxes for everything.

I always account for carbs in lentils, but with caution in terms of dose timing. They are high carb (to me) but low GI and slow release so I will dose after eating, or risk a hypo before digestion.

In this case I'm talking about a normal breakfast/dessert bowl full of cooked lentils, so about 45g carbs as a main meal

As Elydave says they are really low in the Glycemic Index (26) so less likely to cause a bg spike.
