Hello everyone,
I just have a question about whether anyone has any experience about Rybelsus (semaglutide) for T2. I'm currently on Alogliptin (1 a day), saw my DN yesterday and asked if there were any appetite suppresants I could be prescribed as my diet right now is not good at all due to anxiety and other health issues. She has given me prescription for the Rybelsus but after reading about it it seems it is actually a diabetes med? She told me to take Alogliptin with it and come back and see her in a month to see how I'm tolerating it. The side effects seem quite extensive, she said they were for some people so I'm starting on lowest dose. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with this medication and if it does work to help you lose weight and curb your appetite a little. Also can it cause hypo's? I know I should be trying to lose the weight without meds, it's just so difficult with severe anxiety, my way of coping has always been eating and drinking to make myself feel better, hence the T2 diagnosis to start with. Sorry for all the questions, I'm just a little nervous about taking this. Thanks.
Maggie
