Question please!! Any help would be appreciated!!

If you're having carbs at night or anything with hidden sugars (like spaghetti sauce), it might contribute to a rise in bg by morning. When I start the day with a high bg, I pretty much stay high all day unless I do something drastic like increase my insulin or eat only salads for the day. I'm a T1 so I don't know if you'll be different, but you might try going super low carb especially at night and see if it helps.[/QUOT. @RAPS_od hi thsnks, I never eat spaghetti or Sauces, don't eat lot of carbs either, was on bog standard metformin, then was put on SR to try but sugars elevated & had constipation, doctor told me to return to bog standard but DN said try SR again as better in long term but my morning bgs & day time bgs have elevated, don't see any 5's & very rarely a 6 now usualy 7/8+. Tried everythink I know, even eating less. I'm type 2 thsnks again

For me the only thing that helped with bringing my Morning BG down was fasting.
The last couple weeks I have been high again. A few days of very low carb and fasting from 7pm till 1 in the afternoon the next day, brings my FB down.
@Hotpepper20000 hi thanks I'll try that but in past when I get to a 5 I've gone hypo but I need to get my bgs down from 7/8+, it's this SR I certain, Thanks for your help. Appreciated

I was answering your question...could you be diabetic? ...my reply was yes, you could be...(even though you stated you are NOT overweight or have family history)......it seemed like you were saying that since you do not have excess weight or family history that you could not be diabetic.
I think you've confused another commenter, SJElsey, with the original poster who was hayleemiller.

no matter what caused ones diabetes it is equally important to take control and know where ones blood glucose is in daily life as it is the high blood glucose /or insuline that does the damage in ones body and gives the higher risk of all kinds of horrible diseases and amputations...
steroid induced diabetes is in no way less dangerous than diabetes from other causes

Anytime I nibble after my 7pm dinner, my fbs is higher than when I stop eating after dinner time. NO food 3 hours before bedtime-- sometimes hard to do.

only you can lower your numbers there is not realy many different strategies, you can eat less, and eat less of both carbs and proteins , you can Loose excess weight, you can get in shape and do resistance training, and excercise a lot... and you can do fasting...
It is up to you what you will do...as there is no other that really helps type 2 diabetes, it is really a disease without a cure, but if one doen´t take control one thing is sure, then one is heading for a lot of bad disesas on top of what one has when diagnosed..

I´ll wish you good luck, hope you take control an do the hard work that is needed not to get more ill, and hopefully do so much that you even do get better over time instead of the opposite

fasting blood glucose is the one taken in the mornings fasting without eating anything from the night before...

I usually don´t eat from 19 o´clock untill next day at 12 o´clock, if you find that hard then chew some sugarfree gum, but only a few pieces
