Hey,

I saw this thread and a specific comment stood out to me. "I guess the 8.6 is pretty clear evidence that what you ate is too much for your system."
I've (for the past 3 long months) always been under the impression that if you consume something and you end up at 8.6, it's a positive thing. Is it bad to be at 8.6? Are there any specifications or exceptions to this?
I just now ate some food and went from 4.4 to 5.6. I understand that's more appropriate as the gap is smaller but I never thought of 8.6 being a spike or a "big deal". I kept those statements for when I'd go from (for example) 4 or 5 to 10 or 11 while using the same ICR.

Thank you in advance

The thread you linked is about people with T2 in remission or close to it, treated by diet.
A completely different situation than a T1 who uses insulin to try and match the doses to the carbs they eat.

Rising to 8.6 is definitely not a spike for diabetics on insulin!

Hi was just going to reply with exactly the same as @Antje77, :) you sound like you have great control of your T1 :)
