Quick help

So I have had type 1 for 15 years now. I have had an insulin pump for the most recent 9 years. I ran out of infusion sets so had to return to pens temporarily and have actually found them better and have decided to change to them. When I was on pens before I pinched the skin when Injecting. However, I have seen on alot of place that you no longer need to pinch the skin. Was wondering if this was the case as I'm worried it may hurt more by not pinching it. I use 4mm needles if that is any help.

With the smaller needles it is generally considered unnecessary to pinch.
However, as I am very slim, I still do so unless I find somewhere with extra "padding".

I recommend trying it out. As you say, the needle is only 4mm and most people have more than 4mmm of fat.
If it is uncomfortable, I have found no problem with pinching.
The way I see it is we are all different so there is no right or wrong way.
