I quit smoking on the 29th of January... I quit for two months and then started having one here and there and then I'd buy the odd ten packet and when I was diagnosed with diabetes last Wednesday I started back up again and was soon back up to 40 a day.
I've quit smoking again today. I've got my patch on and my nicotine quit mouth spray. I'm already gagging for a cig and I've only been awake an hour. I'm going to do it this time as I know how good I felt the last time I gave up (well after the first month anyway)...
The positive thing about quitting and then staring again is that I've learnt from my mistakes. The first time a quit I started again a month later so I knew the next time I had to watch myself at the 1 month mark. The next time I gave up for two months and this time I learnt that giving up was much easier in month two and also not to even smoke 1 cig as I might end up smoking again.
So today is day 1 of quitting smoking.
Does anyone else want to share their experiences of quitting smoking?
