I started measuring my blood glucose before meals with a Sinometer and it was generally below 5 mmol/L. Then I got a virus of some sort - no effect on my asthma, no snotting, no coughing, no intestinal upsets but no physical or mental energy for a couple of weeks. I've pretty much recovered from the virus and am getting back to my normal activity level (walking, gym) but my BG now is generally in the 5-6 range, sometimes more. Also going to the gym used to knock it down very effectively but that doesn't seem to happen now.
Is this normal? It was the end of July when I got the virus so about 6 weeks ago.
