Hi everyone was wondering if anyone could help me out with some information, I had my dinner 1730 at this point my blood glucose was 6.0, I had pasta with about 40grams worth of carbs so I took my nova rapid, 4 units due to me working of a 1:10 ratio, 2 hours later my blood glucose reading was 5.3 it’s now an hour and a half later and my bloods are now at 10? I’ve drank a can of Diet Coke, and had 2 cheese strings, both of which shouldn’t effect my readings anyway? Puzzled?

did you check the cheese strings as its messed about with cheese its worth checking. pasta i cant touch.

pasta can be odd sometimes. Like with me i find whenever i have pasta and yogurt. They yougurt makes my blood go high even if i do the right amount of carbs.

There are many things which affect BG. As well as food, you have to consider illness, stress, exercise, medication, alcohol. And if none of those have changed, there’s also a pen playing up or insulin not at its full strength.
Due to the many things which can affect it, I look for trends rather than reacting to a one off odd reading. In a few days (or weeks), try the same meal and see if it has the same affect. If it does, it may be as @Lulu9101112 says: pasta being odd. If it doesn’t, write it off as one of those things you can’t explain: our bodies are not always predictable.
