Hi,

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced rashes around where they inject, I can't find many examples when I Google it?

I have little red spots all over my buttocks, the sides of my thighs and and lower back? All sore and itchy, been there 3 weeks now and show no signs of leaving.
I inject my lantus into my thighs and buttocks so it would make sense this was the cause...I have no problems where I inject the novarapid.

I'm trying to make a doctor's appointment (easier said than done!), but can they do anything about it anyway or is it just an unsightly side effect I'll have to put up with?

If you are getting a reaction to lantus, you could ask to change to a different basal such as Levemir or Tresiba

I think it is better that you consult a qualified doctor. It may be dangerous.

How long have you been on Lantus? I had something similar with Levemir and turned out I was reacting to it so can't use it. Get seen asap but your diabetic clinic because it will effect your BG and also can cause tissue damage if you are allergic.
