Has anyone seen this - it's about how a raw vegan diet to reverse diabetes

It's called Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes In 30 Days and I've read a few places that a vegan diet/raw vegan diet can be used to reverse type 1 but don't know where that research comes from!

I have seen that video before. There are a few different vids on youtube pushing vegetarianism/veganism as a cure for diabetes.

I'd try almost anything - but a vegan diet is HARD. I don't know that I could stick to it for any length of time.

I doubt you'll find any and certainly none that claim it reverses T1.

The body’s immune cells attack and destroy the insulin-producing beta cells in the pancreas, the only effective treatment is insulin. (well semi starvation can work for a while, that's what they did pre insulin)
This video makes unsubstantiated claims that give false hope to parents and newly diagnosed T1s.
Here's a previous thread on the subject(there are a couple of earlier ones if you search for them)

There is at least one study on vegan diets and T2 diabetes(N Barnard ) http://care.diabetesjournals.org/conten ... 1777.short and some people successfully use such diets.

You certainly take in fewer nutrients when you eat raw food. In the Giessen raw food trial they found that as the proportion of raw food rose the BMI fell Such diets may have long term pros and cons.

My names is Dr Cousens I have cured hundreds of T2's and at least 3 T1s and the diet that works best is a high fibre high carbohydrate low protein low fat diet.

I couldnt watch any more of this rubbish as my nutter alert was going into overdrive. If this fool has cured a T1 diabetic then I've walked on the moon, absolute drivel and the worst thing about it is that some vulnerable people will believe all this garbage.

There has been lots writen about this dietbut I dont think I have read of anyone who has had good results from it
