I've been injecting for close on 53 years and I don't even think about it,plus it keeps me alive and life is precious!

As it keeps you alive it shouldn't make you feel this way, I don't think anyone can really answer your question except you..

it is not that uncommon especially not long after diagnosis and at times when life is generally difficult

It's not fair I know,but life sadly isn't fair. We are new to it all too and my daughter is going through it No magic wand but just keep going and I think keeping as busy as you can will help. you're not alone and I think once it's become part of your daily routine it will get better.

People do tend to get the blues every now and then it's normal.
Try and think of your insulin as the elixir of life This then puts things into prospective.
