Are they checking your BP?
I don't think they are looking beyond the two hour diagnosis of diabetes!
Sorry, but I've been through this sort of thing!
They can't see the wood for the trees!
How did it go this morning? How are you feeling now? Did you test yourself or leave them to it?Thanks Brun don't worry I'll take my chances and see what happens I just hope I get thru it ok. Just scared of collapsing again like I did in the restaurant
More than anything x
Thanks Brun I will try and do some more research before seeing him xMy understanding is that anything over 11 at 2 hours is considered diabetic.
They may want to just call you diabetic and forget about the RH at this point - in which case, keep pushing!
Especially since you were low carbing before your test, so the spike and recovery may have been delayed, and without that delay you could easily have dropped below the 11 at 2 hours.
Even if they don't accept this, it is perfectly possible to have both T2 and RH at the same time. I do.
It just means that my spikes are longer, and the hypo comes later.
Just done my blood again (post 3.5 hours) now 4!
Thanks so much for all your help. Surely though if I was truly diabetic my sugar would go back up after eating whatever I ate. And it doesn't explain me collapsing after a carb loaded meal xx
Should I eat anything else?
