Thank you for that bit of information. Every time I see someone , they always say RH without diabetes. I will just say RH from now on. Xxx
I often refer RH ers to look at Wikipedia, there is some basic information there!
I believe that you have the condition 'Late Reactive Hypoglycaemia'!
You do what I do! My reaction to a carb meal or glucose, I hyper, then go back to normal but carry on down until I stop by having something small to eat and a cuppa!
A good tip, is never, to use glucose or glucagon for a hypo. Have a rich tea biscuit and a cuppa, to slowly bring up your levels, as you don't want to hyper, then your blood glucose levels bounce and yo yo all over the place! Then have a small meal when you are better.
I have seven very small meals a day every two to three hours. All low carb!
If you don't hyper, you don't hypo. Stay in control, that's the key!
You are starting on a journey of experimentation and testing, to see what you can eat and what you can't! I get surprising results every now and then.
But I am literally allergic to carbs and sugars!
It sounds hard and tough. But you have a choice, like I did, feel good or feel ****!
I'd rather feel good! And stay away from hypo hell!
The more you read and learn you can make the change in lifestyle that will be for the benefit of all those around you and of course yourself!
