How does an injury effect blood glucose? I had a nasty fall, my revision blood test was taken a couple of days later and my glucose was just outside the permitted range, all other readings were good. I am still hurting from the injury, so I suspect the fall put my levels up.

Hi @Sunhat - sorry to hear about your fall - injury, pain, sickness, stress can all affect/raise your glucose levels. It happens and there's not a lot we can do about it either, unfortunately!

I had two injured knees at the end of August when my dog pulled me over, and it's taken a good six weeks for my glucose levels (and blood pressure) to settle back down again. Both were high and quite erratic for most of this time. And I'm currently waiting to see how much of an effect that's had on my latest HbA1c too.
