We all know that ready meals are not good for us, but sometimes I grab one from the supermarket. The problem is there isn't much choice if we want to keep it low/lowish in carbs. Most of them are rice, noodles or pizza with nutritional values giving a headache.
If you found something suitable please share it here. My discovery is Tesco moussaka with 26g carbs per portion (calories 544)
Some curries, with no rice, are ok, depending on which type and supermarket does them!
Sainsbury do a nice chicken tikka massala. Doesn't affect my bloods with half of it!
My dad relies on ready meals he lives alone and is blind and is T2 on insulin. It means he can still live independently - I get his main meals from M&S - some are as low as 22g - especially the newer things in the balanced for you range

I don't eat them myself @lovinglife, but like your dad my mum lost her independence and as much as we tried to cook her home-made meals it wasn't always possible, towards the end she had carers coming in to help and heating a ready meal up was a quick and handy meal, but she always insisted they were from M&S
Try the 'Look What We've Found' range of sachet food. Tesco sell them and you can get them online. They are quite low, especially the Chicken Tikka and Chilli con Carne. The meat is all sourced from specific farmers and each sachet is great for one person. They are a godsend to me when I cannot be bothered to cook after a long day teaching until 8pm ! They take 2 mins in the microwave and are very very tasty. Hope that helps.
In M&S I've just tried a new meal they introduced called 'courgette & broccoli spaghetti with chargrilled chicken' 23g protein, 9g carbs and it was really nice
