Really sore muscles after hypo during exercise

Just wondering if anyone knows if my extreme fatigue and muscle soreness is down to the hypo I experienced yesterday when walking up a massive hill. Got to the top and BS was 2.9, felt shocking. Got it back up but today, oh my word… so tired and muscles very sore in my legs.

Hi Jok11, whilst I have no scientific reference, I tend to experience hypo hang over if I drop below 3 and experience a pain in my calf muscles which feels like the after effect of muscle cramp along with fatigue and some generalised feelings of being below par (lack of sparkle my OH says!)

Hello @Jok11 My opinion is that i'd doubt the hypo would do that., more to do with the exertion, also to note that after exercise you need to use caution too as muscle need more glucose for the repair work so levels can deplete in the 24 hours afterwards too, I run alot and have experienced many hypos whilst exercising but it's always the effects of the exercise which linger for longer with me. Also good to replace electrolytes after exercise too, helps replace missing minerals. Epsom salts for bathing helps sore muscles.
