So what is the situation with the recall of Animas pumps..

My chemist and gp asked today what pump I had as they just notified by mhra that Animas had probs with data on their pumps and will stop working by end of this year?

What pumps will you be given instead?
 
I've had the letter, but it doesn't apply to me as I'm due a new pump next month anyway.
It's a software problem with the 2020s that means they won't work after 31/12/14, so anyone who has a 2020 pump that would still be under warranty on that date is getting a free upgrade to a Vibe pump.
However, all those with 2020 pumps that will go out of warranty before 31/12/14 won't get any upgrade, as their pumps will be fine until the warranty period ends. I suppose that means anyone who got their pump before the end of December 2010.

Well I had a replacement and my warranty expires march 2014?
