I asked for a printout of my results, seeing Gp tomorrow for discussion. Wanted to be prepared, as I hav'nt had test for 3 years or so.

I've been T2, self managed, diet controlled for about approx 4 1/2 to 5 years. It's come down from 42. Very pleased with that.
Thyroid, kidney function normal and a few others normal. A few which are not. Oops
Triglycerides are normal (0.88)
Cholestrol slightly out. 5.5 there is a new test of non HDL, (mine is 3.6) according to NICE it should under 4, however lab test shows it should be between 0.00 - 2.50 hmmm, discrepancy.
HDL 1.89
LDL 3.9 ideally under 3
Cholesterol/HDL ratio 2.9 according to guide lines, ratio 6 above considered high risk, lower the better.
I'm concerned is:
Alkaline phosphatase 114 35-105 more than it should. Checking out what it should between, found it (20-140) therefore normal, another anomaly.
Gamma GT 79 7.00-32.00
All the others are normal: AST, ALT, and the rest.

Any thoughts of reducing Alk phos and GGT.
Apart from that, I'm pleased, could be worse.

Can you please let us into the secret of how did it. Congratulations.

I follow the advice by members on this forum by low carbing, however I do fall if the wagon from time time and have a carb splurge, so I was a bit worried.

My own target is less than 6.1 on my fasting, lower the better. I play walking football which helps control my diabetes as well. Im still learning at times I'm stumped.

My fasting was 6.0, ok I didn't have breakfast, sometimes my bm drops, after football, it went up to 7.0 reckon liver dump (glycogen) had sausage and egg afterwards, had a Chinese buffet late afternoon as low carb as I could. An hour or so later 5.4 .
