Is anyone else having this issue? Have been using Freestyle Libre 2 system for over 12 months. Been lucky and not really had any issue with them until today. Was using the Shuggah app which has worked brilliantly for being able to show readings on front of iPhone etc. but today both apps have stopped working altogether.
Sensor still has 10 days, won’t even recognise my novopen 6 on LibreLink.
Anyone else having issues? or is it a case of changing sensor and starting fresh. Seems a waste of a sensor that was working this morning now seems to have reverted back to manual scanning which is a pain

I have had the exact same problem. My iphone stopped scanning libre 2 sensor on 24th August. I am now using my partners iphone which is scanning just fine. I will try uninstalling the app. Does this mean all the data is lost?

Cold weather, angry people, queues,
That is strange , i'me having the exact opposite problem , my I phone is still receiving the readings but refuses to Manuel scan if I should have a signal loss , I have got 6 days before I need to replace the sensor so i'me just hoping it's a faulty sensor .

Hi,

Deleting & reinstalling librelink will remove what data/logs is stored on the phone.
But, it will be backed up on the online libreview account..
There seems no way of retrieving on the phone app. Its more a start from scratch, with the device, which continues to share with Libreview?

Hi,

From what I've come to understand.
The longer the time is left between scans, the more data (up to 8 hours worth) needs to be tranfered (via NFC.) To the phone?

If I dropped a signal for 10 minutes the exchange, transfer & reconection on a scan is reasonably quick.
Where as 6 hours disconnected? Needs the phone held in place a little longer before successful exchange & re-tether.

Curiouser and curiouser. I have compared my iphone (SE ios 17.6.1-not scanning or recognising the libre sensor) with my partners (iphone 8 ios 16.7.10) which i am using whenever possible to scan and record other daily info. i noticed iphone SE settings, control centre, included controls, does not included NFU tag reader and is not available under “more controls” However, iphone 8 for the same path includes NFC tag reader. I am thinking this is why the SE suddenly stopped working on 24/08/2024. Does anyone know of a way to include NFU tag reader to the iphone SE?

Sounds reasonable Jaylee. Since 24/08/2024 my partner has been goung to work without being able to scsn the libre sensor bc I have the working iphone re libre sensor. This mean that between 7:30 and 17:00 no scanning happens at all. Generally, i put the iphone 8 near to him when he gets home and it picks up the sensor in less than a minute. When he scans, the entire day of readings gets populated so he can see what was happening with his diabetes during the day. Strange but true.

The principle should be the same for an iphone.

Libre 2 should transmit via blutooth readings to librelink app. If it's been upgraded?
If there are any missed readings. It shouldn't take long to scan, a short gap filling in the data & reconnecting the Bluetooth signal...

During a 9.5 hour shift your partner should be able to see his BG readings sent to the phone without scanning.?

I apreciatete some jobs don't like phones.
Blood glucose monitoring is a "reasonable adjustment" at work for diabetics with this sort of managment technique..

There should be no need to scan with libre 2.
It updates to the device...

You need to do an initial scan to register the Libre with your phone. Just over a week ago, mine lost the ability to scan. Tried iPay and that didn’t work either. Tried the usual uninstal and reinstall phoned Apple support who did a few checks then sent me off to their service centre. Sure enough my nfc has died. So need a new phone. Using partners phone for a while before getting a reader which I am using now.
