Hi, I've not posted on here for a while, however, a couple of weeks ago I had my hbA1c results, which were equal to 6 , ( think the figures were 44?)...I thought that was o.k. However the nurse told me that I should stop taking my gliclazide, ( 1 x 40g tablet) because they didn't want my readings to go below 5.
I'm not happy about this , as I was convinced that the gliclazide , along with my regular sensible diet was keeping my readings steady. Had no problems whatsoever.
My readings since then, have been between 8.2 and 13.1, depending on the time of day.

So I'm considering re-starting my gliclazide, every other day, to see if I can control my readings better.
I'm also going to complain to the surgery and ask them for a full explaination.

I welcome any opinions.
