Hi everyone, i have been diagnosed for about 2 months now (only just found out about this community). apparently i'm unlucky as i am 17 and was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, i wanted to ask if their is anything you can recommend for me to do to be better at looking after my condition.

a specific i have to do with exercise because i like swimming but do not want to go for a fear of a hypo, is their anything i can do to lower the risk of a hypo during/after physical activity's?

also want to say hi and hope this site can help me out.

Hi @The Last
Exercise is great for helping with control.
So as you are two months in - are you carb counting and adjusting insulin doses? Because that helps with exercise and avoiding hypos.
Take a look at the exercise sub-forum and also http://www.runsweet.com/
