Hi Everyone. I'm around 2 months diagnosed and am still trying to get my head around the diet.
The sugar seems to be managed quite well so far with Metformin but I have now been told my cholesterol is high, and am also on statins. I'm trying to find recipes that are for T2 diabetic and low cholesterol.
So far I am going around in circles finding either one or the other and I don't know how to match them. Keto seems like a good choice for T2, but is high in fat - so no good for cholesterol I guess? Low cholesterol diets seem to focus on grains and low fat foods, so I'm not sure about added sugars and carbs here.
Any ideas or recommendations would be very welcome. I'm going mad with this and starting to think that I will only be eating 'dust!' Help!
