I'm so confused about protein powder. I've come across a recipe for Keto Kentucky Fried Chicken where the author claims using protein powder is unrecognisable from a breaded coating. I'd seriously like to try this recipe. The type of protein powder he used wasn't mentioned.

There's whey, pea, hemp protein powder etc., for vegans and carnivores. I really don't mind, just that it is zero or very low carb, unflavoured and doesn't cost the earth, although I do know protein powder isn't cheap.

Thanks for any help.

I use pea protein and its used in a lot of vegan food. I got mine on offer at Holland and Barrett on offer at the moment for 7 quid ;)

Thank you for the heads up, I don't know why I never think about Holland and Barrett, I'll have a mooch around our local store next week.

I use a New Zealand grass fed whey isolate. Love it. In Canada I order from Canadian protein but no idea where you might find it…
