Recording BG levels

There are quite a few if you look in your app store.

I tried a couple and soon got fed up faffing around entering details into my phone so cannot recommend a particular app.

If you have a Samsung device, they sometimes ship with Samsung Health already installed and the ability to log BG levels is available in this app'.

Edited - I am not sure if myfitnesspal does this but you could try it. Alternatively, Glucose Buddy has reasonably good ratings.

Hi, I use MySugr, it's handy to keep a record, but don't take much notice of the predicted Hba1c level, despite recording my levels it was quite a lot out from the true readings.
 
I use MySugr as well. I found the Habc1 it predicted for me was accurate. But it depends how often you test and also how accurate your meter is.
I like that it is free for the basic plan but you can up grade it for a fee.
 
Another fan of MySugr here, I found the estimated HbA1c pretty accurate, it said 34.4 when my last lab test said 36. I’m just waiting for my current results to come on line so hoping for accuracy again. I test 5 - 8 times a day.
I also use Glucose Companion as I like the graphs on that app.

I don't record my levels but I think a few here make a spread sheet on their computer or tablet to record theirs
 
My meter (SD Codefree) has a cable which I can use to download to excel.
 
I'm a spread sheet geek. I don't use apps at all. On the spread sheet I can have as many columns and lines as I want, with my own headings, can average each column/line over any time period, and have graphs. My Accu Chek Mobile also has a USB cable so I can download lots of things.
 
I use mySugr, which is free. I turned off the annoying sounds. It links with Apple Health app as does my Nokia WiFi scales for weight and Apple Watch3 for hearth rate and steps.

Oh in addition to my two apps I have Excel spreadsheets too!
 
You could also speak to your diabetes team.
Mine provided Diasend. I can upload direct from my meter (and pump) and the results are instantly shared with my diabetes team to advise tweaks.
To be honest, I only do this just before my annual(ish) appointments as the main app I use is my memory ... although that is a bit flacky at times.
 
Ive been using my sugr for the last few months and find it vgood.
Im not due to have diabetic review until March so I havnt yet had the opportunity to guage the accuracy of my sugrs prediction but note that the app says it needs an average of a least 3 readings a day to estimate accurately so I would think the more tasts are recorded across different timings / situations, the more accurate the estimate will be
 
I use a contour next one meter that uses bluetooth to transfer the test results to their app on my phone.
 
Simple spread-sheets for me too, with mmol/l plotted against date. Also with my daily average reading to show trend which is all I care about. If my DN was interested, I could access the charts on my phone to show her...

Plenty of apps available to do this, both android and crapple.

I use Diabetes Journal for my android phone, I also use the Abbot software to upload data from my Freedom Lite meter to my computers.

Flimsy books are so primitive...
 
I use spreadsheets and create charts with 14 day moving averages. I plot my weight too
 
I use the True Self-Test Log Book. And a pen! I.. guess I'm old fashioned? I like the idea of having an app that shares results with the diabetes team though. Perhaps I should figure out how to make a cable for my TRUEyou meter..
