I had an accident 4 days ago & there were few scratches in my hand & legs which caused bleeding. But till now the scratches don't recover & these are wet inside which fell me pain when I bath or pour water on these spot. Why this is happening ? is it for uncontrolled blood sugar or I have to face it even if my blood sugar is controlled? pls let me know. & what will b necessary measures? should I consult with doctor?

None of us are doctors and none of us can judge your pain or concern level from a distance. You are the best judge of whether you think your injuries require medical assistance or not. I don't really think blood glucose level is likely to affect your wounds unless the level is very high. But if you are worried, please see a doctor.

Please see either a GP or Nurse Practioner.
Higher levels can affect healing time, but you should also check whether your tetanus injection is up todate as well.

Hi

its a bit difficult for anyone on a forum to give you advice about yr scratch wounds without seeing them. Unfoftunately, bleeding scratches on the leg will take longer to heal because legs are covered up by trousers etc so the air cannot aid the healing. If you cannot see a GP or surgery nurse, then see a pharmacist as they might be able to give some re assurance and tell you what to do. I once had a row with the corner of my brick wall in my back garden throwing a ball over the fence and losing my temper with the kids who kept on throwing. My leg was in a mess but I bathed it and covered the wound with Mepore dressing for a few days and then let the air get to it as best I could.
