hi everyone

Just a quick question more for the ladies, I am having problems with recurrent thrush, however, my control is currently good, my last hba1c which was in September was 47 and I test daily with usual readings of 5 to 5.5 before food sometimes lower. How has anyone else got on top of this? I've been prescribed clotrimazole pessarys but it just keeps coming back, it's driving me crazy! Any help would be gratefully received, thanks

Have you tried fluconazole? This is systemic in action as it is a tablet. You can get it without prescription from the chemist.

Ask your GP for the oral tablet plus the pessary plus the cream. Attack it from all sides.

Has your partner treated too? They could be reinfecting you.

Thanks everyone I should have mentioned I'm trying to conceive so the dr is reluctant to give me the tablets because they aren't safe in pregnancy, I hadn't thought about my partner so will look into that, does anyone else have any advice?
