16.4k steps and 41 mins log splitting - hr monitor gave average hr of 133 for that which seems good. Trouble is doesn't seem to be helping bg levels although I will never know what they would be without. @DJC3 M Cane is exactly who I meant as in The Italian Job - you were only suppose to ....

@Japes kudos to you for the sheer amount of walking yesterday and the beneficial effect on your bg control. I am sure exercise helps with bg control just seems to be doing not much more than holding back the tears for myself right now bg wise. Working really well for other health markers thoughMy bg levels are definitely slightly higher when I don't walk as much and I don't do any alternative physical activity, even if I compensate with insulin. I was averaging 7/8 all weekend with two days of little walking and much slobbing on the sofa.
Back to usual 5s and 6s with a 4.4 appearing just before evening meal after a day full of activity.

I clearly remember the clear frustration of the start of the permanently high blood sugars which would not go down to safe levels with walking last summer. It's a horrid feeling, knowing you're trying, and what had once worked beautifully no longer seemed to be doing so. But, it only got even worse if I did nothing, so it kept me at it in an odd way.
