Useful perspective @Geoffno6 so thanks. Body mechanics work for what I put it though but methinks that is a very circular argument. However, thanks for askingMy guess is that 14,500 steps is probably double the UK average, but you’d probably be a relative couch potato if you lived in East Africa. How’s the body mechanics today?
Just tried my first ParkRun today.
This proved that I was less fit than I thought.
I tried the walk/run strategy as I didn't want to damage anything on the first outing and I quit running a while back because of foot snd knee problems.
I think I will try to do this regularly and see if my knees and feet can cope.
I followed this with about a 15 mile bike ride so more exercise than usual.
I am now recuperating in a horizontal position. See avatar.
@Goonergal enjoy your rest day although I read your epic baking effort so not that much resting. Just steps for me today 14.5k.
That sounds painful and needing care.15 mins exercise bike before breakfast. 30 min brisk walk after lunch and 75 min yoga class tonight.
Think I’ve pulled a muscle or something in my left groin it made some of the positions impossible. It’s where I have an artificial femoral artery and all the nerves and muscles were cut during pelvic surgery last year, so that side is a bit weaker now. Hope it sorts itself out soon.
