Relion A1C at home test kit...

I think I might give this a try.
I missed an A1c recently because I was traveling for work and this option would have been handy.
It will be interesting to see how spinningwoman gets on, hopefully the problems with the postal service wont cause a problem.
This has also got me thinking about tests for lipids.
Does anyone know if you can do a similar thing for cholesterol?
I know you can get an overall cholesterol test at Boots but I am thinking more of the full suite of results.
I should think this would be quite expensive, but for people who are starting to low carb, it might put their minds at rest about all the negative press.

Thanks,
Mike.

That's good. Do you think they are accurate then ?

Seems to be; my last test in the summer was 5.1 (a Walmart Relion used in the US and sent to a lab there). My test the other day was down to 5.0 which pretty much corresponds to the small drops in both fasting and particularly postprandials I've measured over the last few months.

Bearing in mind shipping costs, I bought a couple on the same order and will use another one just before going away on holiday next month.

Mark.

To Mikey - I did post my results on the previous page; you may have missed it. Very good quick service; I can't check accuracy because I haven't any other results to compare.

To Spinningwoman- I just went back a page and saw your review, I don't know how I missed it.
I think I will use it a week or so before my regular tests and see how it compares.
I'll post when I have the comparison.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Mike.
