removing needle

Most often after I have injected the insulin and pull the needle out there is a drop of Insulin (or two) on the needle, is this normal or am I removing it too soon ( I leave it in me for 5 seconds or so after depressing the plunger)

There’s always a chance for a little bit of insulin leakage when removing the needle, no matter how long you leave it in. My personal preference was to count to 10 and then remove but even then I’d still have a droplet on the needle or some would come out of the hole the needle created. As long as your sugars are still okay I wouldn’t worry

Leave for ten seconds which is the norm. Also after you have done a test shot give the needle a flick to remove any residue before you do your actual shot. Inject slowly and remove slowly. It may or may not solve the issue. Worth a go.
