Type 1 Renewing a 3 year Driving License (T1-First Renewal)

Dear All,


I will be renewing my 3 year driving license for the first time in the next few months.

In order to do so will I have to provide the same doctor's letters I had to submit in the first place?

Or will I simply have to state that my health has not changed?

Basically, has anyone else done this, and if so, what documentation did you have to provide to secure the renewal?

I am currently in the US and organising doctors letters over the Christmas period might be tricky!

Hi and welcome to the forum

You will have to fill out the medical form again (DIAB1) and answer all the questions as required, you won't have to submit any Dr's letters unless they write back and ask for one, depending upon what you state on the medical form they may just renew your licence without needing any medical evidence.
