Resetting the Accu Chek Mobile

I have just got one of these but have let the family check the BG. This has now screwed up the average result feature. How can I delete their test results and retain mine or better still delete everything? Can't see any obvious reset button.

Don't think you can delete the test results as they'll stay in the memory even after resetting. It will say in the instruction manual how to reset the meter or you could ring their helpline and ask for advice, with the Accu-Chek Nano you held down the two arrow buttons for a few seconds but not sure if its the same for the Mobile.

The only way to get rid of any readings, is to wait 30 days, as the mobile only has a 30 day memory.

But then why can my mobile do 90 day averages ?

Seems daft you can't delete results.

Did you try resetting the meter? TBH I wouldn't worry to much about those test results unless your family is like the Waltons.

I would love you to tell me how to reset it !!

I don't have the instruction manual anymore but assume you've followed the advice I give you earlier, failing that the Accu-Chek helpline is the best place to ask for advice on this matter.

Wouldn't worry about it John, work on each last read and what you ate at that meal. the rest will take care of itself over time

you could keep your own record and work your averages out til it clears.

yours must be a newer version, mine only has 30 days.

Done the 2 arrows trick. Did not work I'm afraid.

I really don't think you can delete those readings, ring the Accu-Chek helpline......you will get a definite answer from them!

What about if you take the batteries out for a day?

Were the readings that bad that you want to get rid of them?

Angie

The meter has a backup battery to the side of the AA battery compartment (see page 123 of user guide) that keeps memory intack.

I spoke to the helpline and if you have the Accu-Chek 360 Program you can re-set the memory from your PC when connected via USB (I have the Black Front U1 version) after a short discussion, they sent me the new ver 2 which includes the Mobile changes.

Not sure if this works with the older Silver Front IR version, but should do.
