Resistant to local anaesthetic???

Hi all,

Had a very unpleasant afternoon at dentist ... lost count of how many la injections I was given to try and numb my mouth. It took an hour and a half and almost maximum amount allowed before they started on filling and it wore off v. quickly as started to hurt again before they finished.

Never had this happen before and have no idea why it happened today.

Any ideas?

It happens.
I had the sane years ago.
Injection - no effect, and more, still no effect. Maybe your nerve is just in the wrong place like mine for that one tooth.
I still hate dentists now.
And I drool after all fillings since.

Did you have a infection in that tooth ? Numbing is difficult to achieve if infection is present
