Well, after telephoning for my 3 month hbA1c results on Friday and getting the delightful score of 38, today was my review appointment with the D N who I hadn't seen in 3 months. I was all prepared for the negative opinions of lchf etc but it went really well!! She was highly delighted, supportive and enthusiastic of my outcome and thinking!! She even said she wished more of her patients would be as proactive. I didn't have to push to remain on forxiga, as I expected I may have to be dropping to 38, she was very interested in my experience of it with it being a new drug. Agreed with my plan to keep on doing what I'm doing, next hbA1C in 6 months, if I have concerns I can contact her......oh.....and the big news???? My total weight loss so far........work colleagues have been saying 2 stones.......Well, if you add 1 stone 3 lbs to it they were right, yep..........3 stones 3lbs!!! I'm absolutely thrilled and amazed folks :singing:

Oh my word! How fantastic is that. More than 3 stones! Wow. And I'm so happy she was supportive of you! How could she not with those results ans seeing all your hard work pay off. Delighted for you :)

Oh wow Kim, what a FABULOUS weight loss! Brilliant. They do say that one dress size equals 1 stone in weight, so that is 3 dress sizes down for you. Big big big shopping spree needed methinks.

Congratulations for everything. Wonderful HbA1c, wonderful weight loss, and excellent news you can stay on your medication. You deserve all this. You have worked so hard.

Thank you to all of you lovely folk here!! I'm happy, bit shocked too and the realisation that it's me who has done this (she did actually keep saying that to me too, that it was all down to me!) Once again, I KNOW I wouldn't have got this far on my journey had I not joined you all here, so thank you for being here. My journey continues......setting my goal for two more Jean sizes down, hoping for that by next hbA1c in April ;)

I love these friendships on here..the way we truly care about how we get on. Not only sharing low points but to get to share the joy like Kims...its just wonderful
You should be so very proud of yourself. Awesome result

Well done Kim - those are truly amazing results. I felt really quite emotional when I was reading your news. It brought happy tears to my eyes and renewed motivation to this journey that I am on. If you can do it... I know there is a really good chance that I can do it too. So thank you for the boost you and all your hard work have given me.

Thank you Kezzer! 18 weeks I felt confused and shocked when diagnosed, three days later came on here and felt welcome and understood, learnt so much, have had support and encouragement and excellent advice. Yes, you CAN do it, I am still on my journey too- many who don't have our knowledge would think it was job done and give up-to-date certainly not the case or the way to go!! Our journey goes on and we can stay in charge of it ;)
