retinopathy

Does anyone know if retinopathy can be improved? All of a sudden I've lost sight in one eye and the other has gone very fuzzy. Rather scared! Got an appt in Friday at hospital but would like some advice. Thanks.

Are you currently diagnosed / being treated for retinopathy?

If I suddenly lost my vision I would be down to A&E pronto. :shock:

I had retinopathy about 15 years ago - had lots of laser and it stabilised, so it's quite possible they can help you, although it rather depends on what has caused the vision loss. Is it a bleed, or possibly a detached retina or something else. Best to get it checked asap.

I had a tiny bleed detected on a routine annual scan. By the time the specialist had a look it had completely cleared up. I agree with robert72 and would get down to A+E without delay if I notice any sudden changes.
 
Hi all. Went to a&e they said not sure why but that my retina on one eye has almost become detached. They are sending me for a couple of operations in the next couple of weeks so will hopefully be sorted. Thanks for all suggestions! Was in a panic and sttill am but feel happier it's being looked at. Would just advise everyone that regular checks should always be done and keep on top of things. When I didn't get an appt I forgot about chasing but really should have! Thanks all x
