Type of diabetes
Type 2
Hi All ! I was diagnosed in 2004 with diabetes after I suggested that I was diabetic to my doctor who just said that I had Bipolar disorder and just believed I had things wrong with me. I pressed the point and told him to do the tests. I was right !
He appologised I had type 2 diabetes.
I had been binge eating on a loaf of white bread a day due to an eating disorder and severe stress. What i didnt realise was that I had an intolerance to wheat, yeast etc and that I had an infection of Candida Albicans. Wheat ,yeast and sugar the ingredients of bread acting like a fermentation vessel in my stomach. After 11 years of chronic depression I took a natural anti depressant which literally changed my life as my depression was nearly gone in ten days. with my new found energy I then set about sorting out my 19 stone 6 pound weight problem. Knowing i had food intolerances I cut out the three biggest suspected offenders.
grains (bread) sugar and dairy. I replaced sugar with STEVIA and later found an article which claimed that it treated diabetes.
although some months later I have had a more active lifestyle with a short walk non most mornings I have lost two and a half stone and today I had a graph printed out at the doctors showing an incredible massive drop in my blood sugar levels.
I will continue with my diet which is very low in simple carbs as I no longer eat bread and biscuits. I do eat a lot of vegetables and lean protein.and I feel like a completely new man. full of energy and am once again enjoying life to the full.

You can do this ! It just takes a little bit of effort and once you start seeing the results you will be encouraged to continue on to greater health.

Hi @fingers1

Great work & well done on your weight loss and diabetes management - gold medal for you :)

Could you PM me the details of the natural anti depressant please?

Well done @fingers1. I have tried natural anti-depressants like St John's Wort in the past, and found they didn't help when I was in deep depression, and only meds helped then. So I would be interested to know what helped you too.
