I take gliclazide and dapagloflozin. My data has risen from 60, 64, 70 over 12 months. I follow a low carb diet and exercise. Finger pricking says I am fine.
I am type 2, tall 6ft 2in and weigh 75kg. Is this the moment I need to consider insulin injections to help better manage my diabetes?

What fingerprick results do you typically see, and do you only check your fasting blood glucose or before and two hours after meals as well?

A hba1c of 70 usually means an average BG of around 11.
What do you typically eat?

I went on inulin injections when I was still thought to be a T2, and it can work well for some. There are other medications still as well.

I asked to use insulin after very bad experinces with metformin, it has worked very well for me
a littl daunting at first but after a month you get used to it

My finger pricks over 30/90 days average 6.4 +/-2. I check before every meal and bedtime but not 2h after meals - I will try that out.
I typically eat meat fish eggs salad and veg. I fast 12h as well.
I booked appointment with my doctor and will see what he says.
