Self absorbed and rude people! Motorists who are oblivious to the rest of the world, and really don't give a ****!
(Yes, I am so read next post please :D )

I am not sure if I am allowed to mention this, if not then apologies to administrators in advance and I am sure you will quickly remove it.

Robin Ellis the actor (most famous for Poldark series) is a T2 diabetic and written a diabetic recipe book for diabetics - also very interesting and quite uplifting to read his posts and see how he copes with the illness - I found him on facebook, but not providing links as they are probably not allowed. Now in his late 60s he seems and looks to be doing well and that, if nothing else, is inspirational for me :D

Here is an excerpt from his interview on the subject of diabetes and why he wrote his recipe book:

15). Back to the serious stuff as we are running out of time.

Diabetes – is it a death sentence or should people embrace the opportunity to eat differently and discover new tastes and flavours?

Robin – It’s true – there’s no cure yet for Diabetes, and “should” is a tricky word – OK, they should!

The reason for writing the book is exactly that; to demonstrate that you can eat well and enjoy all that you eat without feeling deprived.

OK – there are some constraints, and that is always difficult to start with; but as you say – the trick is to embrace the change.

After initially feeling: “****! – why me?” I quickly saw the diagnosis as a wake-up call, something to take advantage of in terms of one’s overall health, as you grow older.
