It is a long time since I posted.
For some months now (8+) I have been experiencing ache/pain in the sacral pelvic region. The pain is mainly central but can radiate out into buttocks or top of legs.
i) The discomfort is always worse when seated - softer seats are worse than firm seats. Sitting on a toilet seat is okay.
ii) Typically standing will ease it a little.
iii) No problems sleeping.
iv) The mornings aren't too bad but it starts to deteriorate from midday onwards. By the evening/night time it is quite bad (I feel like an old man).
I have spent a lot of time trying to discover what this may be. The G.P.s have been next to useless. Things that have been suggested include Sciatica, SI Joint - they just don't seem to fit. My mobility is for the most part fine. There wasn't any trauma involved when this started.
Recently I came across 'Pudendal Neuralgia'. More than anything else I have seen this seems to describe what I am experiencing. Reading through the information about this I noticed that one of the causes can be Diabetic Neuropathy. I certainly do not have the symptoms listed - but I do have some of the main ones.
I wondered if anyone else on this board:
a) has been diagnosed with this
b) shares similar symptoms
I welcome all and any feedback.
